SimpleTrack

This service is currently in development. It is not guaranteed to be bug-free.

Overview

With this service you can track your movement and send your track to our server. Later on the web you can view your tracks on Google Maps or download them as KML.

This service requires login to Locify.

Starting new track

A new track is started by selecting Start new track after activating SimpleTrack service. Firstly, you need to enter track name and initial coordinates. This allows you to get a fix on GPS before you start tracking.

You can also set if you'd like to track altitude. This isn't always necessary and fluctuation of altitude obtained from GPS coordinates may affect the overall length of track more than taking altitude out of the equation. (In order to get correct altitude, you need to have excellent signal).

Pausing tracks

If you'd like to pause tracking (eg. you stopped or you're taking a secret shortcut :)), you can pause running track and later continue with it. Please note that if you continue from other location than where you stopped tracking, these two points will be connected as if you went directly from one to another.

Listing tracks

Later you can view your tracks and/or download them. You can also display saved track in your mobile phone when you select List tracks.
